This place is excellent! Affordable prices, big dishes and the staff members are constantly very welcoming.

Good prices and good service

I don’t know if they have a new chef or what but the steak sandwiches taste horrible. I give it 2 stars just because when I was younger it was good.

Horrible food, horrible service!! Never again. Go to dos amigos on Bergenline and 56 at. The food and service is 10 times better.

Last week was the first time in this place. But It is obviously not the last. We enjoyed the evening very much with the good service, with the finest meal and wine and with the friendly pay. We will absolutely return there in a short time.

I came here for the first time what caught my attention was the sign they have outside and the price the staff very friendly and the food was good we ordered sandwiches two Cuban sandwiches and two steak sandwiches to go wow we also had coffee all that for less the 17 dollars I will be returning when I am in the area

Did not enjoy the service(salvo un mesero que nos trato bien) or food. We ordered a Cuban and steak sandwich. The sandwiches were served cold and the bread was soggy. When I asked for it to get toasted they looked at me bad and started making hand gestures. I will not be returning and am disappointed since i was really in the mood for a good Cuban sandwich.

Good food and good service like always

It's good. It's like many other cafeteria restaurants in the area. Nothing bad about this place at all, everybody eats there, food is fine, prices are average (it would cost 3x the price in NYC!). I think they also have WiFi.

Friendly Caribbean cuisine, relaxed family oriented, English and Spanish speaking. The food has good season. A little over priced. But prices everywhere are also high. I give four stars because the bathroom's odors impregnates the surrounding tables adjacent to the bathroom. If you visit the place, make sure you stay away from the bathroom area.

I go there often for a bite to eat cheap food and good service .I go there every time I go to union city.

The name says churreria. Had to wait almost 40 minutes for churros. Thank god i wasn't double parked the city would have towed my car. First and last time here.

This is a restaurant. Here you can have a delicious plate of food or breakfast. You can enjoy this place alone or with family.

Very very bad serves I went in and acted like if they dont see me. They all looked when I was leaving and didnt say nothing. NEVER AGAIN GOING OVER THERE.

Food here was really good. Prices are three times less than what it would cost in NYC. Service was pretty good but definitely love the family environment.

Despite other comments regarding poor service, last night the service was excellent - friendly and efficient. Food was also very good. Husband had the short ribs and sausage which was very tender. I had the beef with peppers which was tender however the sauce was quite sweet and tasted more like a Chinese sweet and sour sauce. Generous serving of side dishes accompanied the mains.

It fills up with a varied crowd of old guys talking politics, office folks coming for lunch, stragglers grabbing cubanos and coffee, and families. On weekends these families might be wearing their Sunday best and taking over multiple tables pushed together.Despite being such an economical place, the tastes are of true comfort and soul warming. From the daily specials list, the bistec a la palomilla ($8.95) will not knock your socks off with an amazing cut of meat, but the simple seasonings on this thin steak make you think of grandma even when grandma is from Iowa.

Great food. Great service. Great price. Definitely worth the 1.5 hr ride we made. They stayed open late just to serve us. The coffee is delicious..almost like a dessert!

The food was good, the server left much to be desired. I had order a glass of water and server did not bring me the glass if water after repearepeatling asking for water in "Spanish". Finally another server came over and asked if I needed anything else. Then when the original server took the empty plates, he asked if I wanted something else. I asked for a cup of "Black coffee" took another 25 minutes to get my coffee as well as my flan. Been to this restaurant many times prior to this visit and I definitely was not impressed with the waiting staff and much less the "Flan". The Flan was not up to standards. Told the server and he just proceeded to give me my bill finally. Moved from New Jersey over 30 years ago, and the first place I went to eat was at this restaurant coming off the NJ turnpike after driving all the way from Key West, Florida. Guess my memory is a lot better from by gone days than now.

A very nice and yet friendly-family oriented restaurant , the cuban style dishes were great , prices are reasonable in the area , had a great time enjoying my friends , family , food and the great service from the waiter who make my companions feel good , I notice the near by tables were having such a great time , very happy to come back
